Kallie Schut

“As a British born yoga teacher of Indian heritage, descendant of the Sansi tribe, I honour the wisdom traditions of yoga  - bringing cultural awareness to the practice and developing understanding of the colonial legacy and racial inequity in modern yoga

I work tirelessly as a sacred activist, antiracist teacher and committed educator towards crystallising the intersectionality of race, culture and power dynamics through the yoga lens

From a heart centred place of revolutionary love, I critically challenge and support yoga students, teachers, studios and teacher trainings on

  • navigating and challenging spaces which marginalise and exclude

  • making cultural reparations instead of cultural extraction and exploitation

  • honouring the rich pluralism of South Asian roots of yoga and wisdom traditions

  • co-creating inclusive and anti-oppressive teachings”
